My Baby Explorer classes are designed for older babies who are confidently sitting and beginning to crawl, cruise or take their first steps. These exciting sessions support your baby's growing independence while encouraging curiosity, confidence and exploration through play.
Held in a warm, welcoming and supportive environment, classes combine music, movement, sensory experiences, songs, rhymes and developmental play to create engaging opportunities for learning, discovery and connection.
Between 6 and 12 months, babies experience rapid developmental changes as they become more mobile, communicative and eager to interact with the world around them. Our Explorer classes are carefully designed to support these emerging skills through age-appropriate activities that encourage active participation and exploration.
Each class is carefully planned to support:
Social and emotional development
Sensory exploration and integration
Cognitive development and problem-solving
Language and communication skills
Physical development, mobility and coordination
Confidence and independence
Parent-baby bonding
Community and connection with other families
Every session may include:
🎵 Songs, rhymes and musical activities
🌈 Sensory play and exploration
🫧 Bubbles, scarves and interactive props
🤲 Fine and gross motor skill activities
🧠 Developmentally supportive games that encourage curiosity, cause-and-effect learning and early problem-solving
🚼 Movement experiences that support crawling, cruising, balance and coordination
💞 Opportunities for connection, bonding and responsive interaction
🧸 Engaging play experiences that encourage exploration, confidence and discovery
Through playful activities, babies are encouraged to move, investigate and develop new skills at their own pace, while parents gain ideas and inspiration to continue supporting development at home.
Explorer Class
Age Range: Confidently sitting to early toddling (approximately 6–12 months)
Perfect for older babies who are becoming more mobile and eager to explore, with activities tailored to support physical development, communication, confidence and early learning through play.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Doula Diary, I understand that family life can be unpredictable and plans sometimes need to change. My policies are designed to be clear, fair, and supportive while also honouring the preparation, resources, and time that go into each service and class.
Classes (Baby Massage, Baby Yoga, Baby Spa, Baby Development & Wellness Sessions)
Cancellations more than 48 hours before the start of a course:
A refund is available minus a £5 processing/booking fee to cover costs incurred through the booking system.
Alternatively, you may transfer to a future course (subject to availability) with no deduction.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the course start date:
Refunds are not normally available, as your space has been reserved and materials prepared. You may transfer your booking to a friend or request to join a future course if spaces open.
Missed sessions:
Refunds cannot be given for missed sessions, but you are welcome to gift your space to another mum & baby with prior agreement through me.
